This is an absolutely awesome amp. Don’t let anybody tell you different. The sound is absolutely spot on and it’s loud enough to handle a small band gig. The fender amps have clear distinct tones that are unmistakeable fenderesk. Love playing with this thing and the adjustable nature of all the presets is really good. It’s very easy to dial in the exact tone you want. I have the Boss Katana MKII 50 and I wish I had bought this amp sooner. It can definitely keep up with the Kat … no problem. They are two different kinds of amps tho. The mustang is an amp modeler. The gain level on this amp is killer for what you’re paying for it. You cannot beat this amp at this discounted price ($178.00) here on zzounds period! I saw a review on YouTube where the reviewer said that this amp is too boxy. Nothing could be further from the truth. This amp can fill a room very well. The bass is warm and thick while the highs are crisp and clear. The mids are good too but not necessarily perfect. I bout this amp because I wanted to be able to practice at home with gain without getting swung on by my wife and kids. It’s perfect for that! But you can definitely gig with it no problem. My single coil and humbucker guitars sound awesome through this thing. It takes pedals pretty well on the front end too. Not that you’ll need them because there’s plenty of pedals available in the amp itself. You can go wrong with Fender and they’ve done it again with the mustang LT50. I suggest getting this one over the 25 because that one is a little too small sounding with that 8inch speaker. All in all this is the best amp at the price bare none!
