"CyberChamp IS a Champ!"

Small, fun, easy to use, sounds great, loud enough for rehearsals or small gigs (or anywhere, if you mike it). I have a bunch of tube amps to get different sounds, but end up play this because it has all the sounds I need in one package. It's kind of cute too, in a Fender blackface sort of way.
Sound
Generally very good base sounds, wish I could edit the presets, then save them in their original positions. There is always too much "jape" (overdrive and effects on the presets)as they come from the factory, but the underlying sounds are terrific. Excellent speaker. Fender presets are especially good (duh). Compared to my friends Line6 Spyder, no contest, this blew the Line6 away at every setting.
Features
14 permanent presets and 7 presets that you can save over. You have to be careful not to save over a model you might want later. Good effects (Reverb, Modulation and Delay/Echo) with easy (but limited) adjustment.
Quality
Expect it will hold up well, I'm used to tubes, not circuit boards, so time will tell. Had to cut a few loose threads off the grill cloth when I got it.
Value
Overall getting 16-18 good amps for four bills is a great value, especially in one light and easy to carry package.
Manufacturer Support
Called Fender when I got a FootController for it which didn't work right. They were nice and and called me back, but noone there seemed to know much about the Cyber series equipment. They couldn't find any info in the manuals either.
The Wow Factor
If this were stolen I would replace it immediately with a CyberDeluxe due to the greater number of user presets.

"Great sounding amp for the money, Fender fans only."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think a better way to customize your sound is to get a tube amp, like a 15-watt Blues Junior (which I have and is unbelievably LOUD) and buy a Line 6 PODxt effects box, or one of the Boss or Digitech units. The tube amp would give you the solid base to customize the digital effects from.
Sound
Digital effects are pretty good, great delay/echo and reverb sounds. Sounds best when trying to get that classic "Fender" tone, emulates the tube amps very well. I've owned a variety of Fender tube amps, this little amp sounds authentic. The presets are cool, but too much distortion. If you want to play metal, not a ggod choice. All the preset are various Fender models. Can't really get a high gain rectifier/JCM/Marshall kind of sound. But compared to a Line 6, this has a much more full, rounder sound.
Features
It takes a lot of work to undo the presets to get your own sound. You need to choose an "amp model" then dial all the effects down to get them to kick into manual-mode. Needs a simple footswitch instead of the MDI expensive Cyber version. The tuner works real well. But if you choose the built in presets, it's frustrating to back down the effects you don't want, hard to get it "just right".
Quality
Execellent.
Value
Still think it's a great little amp. Just make sure you want that "Fender" sound first, otherwise go for the Roland or Line 6. Or maybe get the Marshall MDX or AVT series is you really want only a heavier-metal sound.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use it, but I'll tell you this: it comes with a big, thick owners manual, but only has about 5 pages of English in it. The rest is duplicated in various languages. Crappy explanations of how to use the "tap" buttons, or how to customize and store your sound. Very disappointing.
The Wow Factor
It is a coll little amp.

"Sustains like a tube amp. Can scream with a tubescreamer in front of it."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Best modeling amp for under a grand that I could find.
Sound
Sounds like a tube amp only not quite. Get it? Much better than the Vox Valvetronix (good but muffled sounding) and the Line 6 Flextone III (good with rhythm but NO SUSTAIN!). This amp sustains and sings like a good tube amp, especially when I put my new Maxon OD-808 in front of it. I tend to favor the Deluxe 65 and the Princeton 65 as they cut through in my band's mix the best.
