This amp should take me into retirement and beyond. Once you get the sound you are looking for, why would you want to change it. I think most guitar players would like to be recognized for having an original sound and the super sonic 60 allows you to pursue that sound.
Sound
This amp does what it is supposed to do. The vintage channel vibrolux/bassman is close to the vintage sounds. I own a 1966 vibrolux reverb and the super sonic 60 is close but not as solid or thick as the original but does has a very clean tone that is very close to the 66 vintage.I would suggest backing off the treble and doing the same with the guitar tone. The bassman sounds good as do the burn channel which can be adjusted for blues to high gain distortion. This amp is very loud and for small venues (small clubs/churches) put the amp volume on 2-3 with guitar volume at about 6-7 is sufficient.
Features
Does come with a footswitch and cover and all of the controls are easy to use and the pedal works as it is supposed to. An all tube combo amp at this price is a steal. Definitely designed for the working musician or guitar player looking for that clean Fender sound. At 54 lbs. it is a hand full but pro gear is built to last and perform.
Ease of Use
Very manageable and easy to set up and use. I took it out of the box and turned it on and the vintage 30 just sings. Good match up for this amp. I use a USA Fender Strat and Gibson Les Paul and both guitars were extremely expressive. I also use a Roland guitar synthesizer and it handles the extra sound very well.I do alot of home recording and styles from jazz to fusion to rock to classic are no problem. This amp is very well built and it can handle almost any style of playing.
Quality
As i said, the craftmanship is excellent, the amp is heavy, the tolex and handle and even the control knobs are all solid. I will have no problem using this amp in a working band or at home and Fender does make quality amplifiers.
Value
The super sonic 60 is a very good value for the money and it is a pro-tube amplifier. Good sound does cost, professional musicians very seldom use digital modeling amps, the tone says it all.
Manufacturer Support
Have very little dealings with customer support as most of my Fender gear continues to work just fine. I would assume they would back their warranties and workmanship.
The Wow Factor
Cosmetically the amp looks good.Fender amps have maintained the same shape and structure for over 40 years and they continue to go with what works.

"Fender Super Sonic 60 - Blem"

First, my experience with ZZounds was exceptional and I would not hesitate to purchase from them again. As far as purchasing a "Blemished" product, I would also not hesitate to make one of those purchases either. As for the amplifier, I am not sure how useful this review will be as the amp is discontinued, but I will say this; it ROCKS! The clean channel is superb, goose bumps good. The "Burn" channel is good for low to medium gain. You will not Djent with it. This amplified is much noisier than I expected and after reading a number of forums this is a common complaint about it. I believe there are a number of mods which can be implemented to reduce the hiss, but I haven't tried them yet I'm too busy having fun with the amp.

I also got a blemished Super Sonic. It turned out one of the tubes was in the wrong socket. I did the swap and now it sounds great. I was planning on also swapping out the speaker, but a Vintage 30 actually sounds good in this amp. It's not too bright or harsh, and the overdrive is nice and smooth. I know of no other amp that does a smooth, transparent overdrive for a Stratocaster or Telecaster as well as this amp does. If you are used to high gain amps, it is not noisy at all. And the clean sound is pure Fender. Don't hesitate to buy a blemished amp. Mine turned out to be an incredible deal!!!
