I don't care want what anyone says the Golden 50th Anniversary that I have Is one fine axe and thats all i can say. Its a mexican made Fender and plays and looks great right out of the box, and many cases better than some American made. I know what I am talking about I am a professional musician I have over 40 years experience, I make a living at it. I have close to 18 guitars in my collection. Les Pauls American Strats, 60's Jazzmasters, Ricks, Gibson Es series. This is one really one nice guitar. I advice all before you buy is to do a little research go to Fender Web Site check everything and you see that parts in the assembly is same as the American strats and this is a Vintage style strat. Again all can say is check it out take the time and compare notes this is a nice Fender Stratocaster for the money
Sound
It sound likes typical Fender Stratocaster just like they made since 1954. I use it thru a Mesa Boogie Nomad 55 but it sounds good in any decent amp that I have tried. The pickups sound great not much 60 cycle hum for a strat
Features
The gold body (aztec gold)paint job they are not doing that color anymore the gold aluminium pick guard you don't see it that too much either. Gold hardware
Quality
The finish is excellent and it seem to be put together rather nice
Value
Its worth the money

I already have bought the American version, and plan to pickup an American Deluxe version very soon...
Sound
This Strat sounds just as delicious as it's American made brother, but at a lower cost.
Features
The gold-tone appointments are gorgeous, the gig bag is nice, but I went ahead and bought the 50th anniverary hardshell case for both the added protection and the additional "total package" benefits.
Quality
The quality is upper level Fender with true attention to the details in both paint and hardware. Only thing that would have made it better, iMHO, ia if it were stamped "Made in America".
Value
Excellent guitar for the money, and quite beautiful to boot!
The Wow Factor
The color and the smooth quality finish on this guitar make me very happy to own this!
