I'm puzzled by the negative review. I got the tweed model, and everything is perfect. The fit and finish is excellent. All the latches fit and work perfect, and the glueing and stitching is flawless. I'm very happy with this case!

"Who Could Possibly Bad-Mouth This Case?"

I read a couple of the negative reviews about this case and kind of chuckled to myself....For what I will use this case for, this case is perfect....Would I use it at home to keep my Tele protected from the elements and give my Tele a cool home to hang-out in until I play my Tele again? ....YesWould I take it to a rehearsal where it's in my car and I walk it into the rehearsal room and then take out my Tele and jam and then put it back in the case and back into my car and then back home?.....YesWould I TOUR with this case?.....NoThis case is not designed for that. They have other cases that are designed for taking out on the road. If I went out on the road with my Tele I would get a different case and then tour with that case....not this one.So for what I will be using this case for....it is perfect. If you want a cool-looking, retro-vibe Fender case and you are realistic about what it can and cannot handle.....this is a perfect case.Again...I just can't see how anyone would bad-mouth this case. If the latches didn't work, I would return it to zZounds and I am sure they would send me one that functions properly....One of these days I'm going to get a strat, too. I may get an American Standard or an Elite....and if I do, those come with a case.If I end up getting a strat that doesn't come with a case, you know what case I would get for my new Strat? .....THIS CASEAs a footnote, I haven't even checked the lock to see if it works. Because it doesn't matter to me. When I rehearse I amAmongst friends. If someone breaks in my house and finds out the guitar case is locked do you think they WONT take the case AND the guitar? Or will they just say "oh no I can't steal this, OMG the case is locked!"Is having a locking case some "be-all-end-all" to prevent anyone from stealing it? LOLYes, it is (I guess?) important for the lock to work, especially if one believes that the lock on the case is some kind of benevolent insurance policy that will prevent any impending doom.....But for ME.....as long as the latches work...I'm cool :)And the latches DO work on this case. And it looks cool. And it does the job. And my Tele fits absolutely PERFECTLY in this case. So I see no reason to talk any trash about this case :)Get one of these cases if you are realistic about what it can and cannot do :)

"Total Dissapointment..."

I was told by Fender that this is a new product being made overseas for them, and intended to be less expensive. It's actually only about $30 less than the standard cases, and as it turned out, it's a very low quality item that I returned immediately. First, the latches are real junk, they are all misaligned and don't operate properly... even the keys don't work... but that's nothing compared to what's inside... or rather, what isn't inside... there is zero padding... It's just a cheap plywood box with a paper thin layer of black cloth over it. This thing offers absolutely no protection for your guitar... there's no sense in even usng it. Although it looks like a standard case on the outside, it's totally non-functional, and in my opinion it's not worth a dime. Get something else.

Great case. I got the tweed and it is flawless and holds my strat snug and safe. The inside color of mine was actually orange, not red as shown, but my guitar looks great in it so I don't mind. Very happy with my purchase!

My new 72 Thinline Tele came with a gig bag. I've never been a lover of soft cases to transport my guitars, so I bought the Fender hard shell case that's mad for my guitar. I knew what I was getting long before I got the delivery. I've had a couple of them before. They're great cases.

This case is sturdy and top quality. The interior is plush and there is ample storage. The hinges, locks etc... are all very sound. The tweed exterior is nice and looks very retro.

I got the tweed case, so far so good, but for some reason the case smells really bad. I know it sounds silly, but it like stinks of chemicals. Going to try and keep airing it out.

I ordered 2 guitar cases, some guitar cables, strings and picks and they were delivered when expected and everything was in great shape. I did use MF but I thought I would try zzounds and I'm glad I did, I love the payment options they have and I'm going to order an acoustic guitar and case in a couple days. I am a little disappointed they didn't carry the Walk up and play acoustic guitar stand for the stage. But overall I am very pleased with the service I have received so far. Would recommend them for your musical needs.

2 days ago I purchased one of these for my tele, and had considered buying one for my jazz bass. You could not give me one for free after examining the one I purchased when I arrived home. The corners of the case don't line up as well as the seals. Don't waste your money on one of these. Get a regular Fender case or a higher line SKB or Gator. You get what you pay for.

All You have to do is tune it and play. The care fender took to make sure the Strats neck and electrical was right on. That Extra Sound Pick up coil is pretty cool too I'm looking forward to getting the Telecaster next...
