I installed the fender Eric Johnson pre-wired pick ups on my fender American ultra Stratocaster, The sound of them are very vintage, very chimey and very jangly, I did not like the ultra noiseless Pick ups, they were kind of lifeless, but the bridge pick up handled hi gain very well, very pleased with the Eric Johnson set. I play mostly clean, They are perfect for blues and country and rockabilly
