This is a beautiful instrument that not only looks good but produces the sound to match. I was quite surprised when I plugged it into a amp and heard a true mandolin sound coming out. This instrument is well worth the money. If any mandolin players have been hesitant in trying a solid body 8 string because of true mandolin tone concerns, Fender has come through.

Playing for most of my life (50+ years) Play professionally on limited basis,teach and enjoy jamming at home.

Classic Rock for fun. Bluegrass and Old Time Mountain music.

Plays easier than any of my other mandolins, balances nicely while hanging by its strap, holds tuning well and sounds good. You can run it through pedals or not to tailor your tones.
