Ok lamination aside I've got to say I've been up and down on this guitar since I've gotten it. It's a long (4+years) relationship that defined my early guitar expectations. It came to me (in hindsight) what I can only assume was a return that got resold as new. But not knowing any better and it being my first guitar , I was in love. Of course I've gotten a bit more educated and have upgraded with many guitars over the past almost 5 yrs. so I know what it is and now yrs later the preused condition in which I received it makes no difference........except for the fact that whoever had it first or the luthiers at fender super glued ( or epoxied etc) the nut into place and really made it difficult to get a decent setup. But I digress, these are issues I'd think we're specific to only me and my experience. And since a luthier , or setup man would not try to setup my nut I had to learn on my own.and in doing so had to make some harsh adjustments / improvements to this area of the neck.which I'm sorta grateful for, now I know a little and am not as intimidated of guitars and their workings. Ok so about the guitar, the laminate aside , the materials are of good quality . The neck and tuners are as good as many guitars of higher price point. I can't speak to the finish as mine was poor but like I mentioned is a issue that most won't have to deal with, mine was dinged and scratched in multiple places ,along with dull spots throughout the body. The only thing I can honestly say is that the sound is really decent and once I got this one into tune and set how I like it ...it stays there! Haven't tweaked neck , nut or bridge in a few yrs. the sound isn't as clearly articulate as high end guitars but IMO sounds much better than its price tag. I don't see any issues I need to "warn" anyone about . Just be aware of what your buying, then there's no way your let down with this lil work horse.
