I ordered this hoping it was as good as most of the reviews. When it got here I put the bridge on an had to tighten a couple things. I then took it to a professional and he set it up for me. Once he tuned it he started playing it. Man this thing sounds great. He played it for a half hour and said he was very impressed with the total package including the bold sound. It looks great and sounds great. Excellent value for the money. Now for Zzounds. I have only on a few occasions delt with a company that looks out for the little guy as good as Zzounds. Great customer service techs. I give them 2thumbs up.

Very good sound and it is heavy. Will defiantly will need a strap. The look is absolutely amazing and the build is very good. Will project sound super loud and clear. Zzounds is also a super great place to do business with.

When the banjo arrived, I found it well-packed and in good condition. The first thing I did was remove the resonator and look inside the back. I found a 3-ply maple rim and dual rim rods, as all better banjos should have. I put the resonator back on and set the bridge. It came up to tune quickly, and it stays in tune amazingly well for a new banjo. The banjo has a pro level volume and the mellow tone you get with a bell brass tone ring. The look is impressive. The banjo could benefit from a little more attention to the dressing of the fret ends, and the finish of the inside of the rim, but if it had these things it would be a $2500 banjo. When you place your order, the banjo deserves a hard shell case, and make your life easier by ordering a strap at the same time. The payment plan is outstanding. There aren't many retailers who offer such a liberal program. zZounds is great!
