Mine just arrived, got it so I can play out amplified without messing with my "good" mandolin. This is a nicely finished mandolin, and the sound acoustically is mid-range, about what I'd expect for the price. Electrically, it sounds pretty good and works without issues. You will need to adjust the bridge position after it arrives to get the intonation right on it, take it to a tech if you don't know how to do this. On the downside, the tuners have a bit of slop. The gator case listed on Zzounds website didn't fit the instrument, I had to peel back the lining and curve out some foam to make it fit. This mandolin is a bit oddly shaped, so finding a case to fit may be an issue. A fun instrument though, plays well with a bit of setup. A fair price for what you are getting.
