Fender American Standard Dimension V HH Electric Bass, 5-String (with Case)

This 5-string version of Fender's Dimension bass packs a powerful low-end punch thanks to its dual humbuckers, high-mass bridge and extended range.

I played Fender for almost 30 years ('67 Mustang and '72 fretless P). I have also played Carvin (SB4000) and Epi EB3 and Thunderbird which are also part of my arsenal . This is the first Fender I have purchased since 1972 and I LOVE IT!The quality is as good as my Carvin -- maybe better! Plays extremely well and the body shape is more comfortable than the P. It is made in the USA, which is a main reason I even looked at it let alone bought it. I was looking for a 5 string that was made in the USA. I had purchased a Gibson EB5 but returned it. (DECENT bass but it just did not CLICK with me.) This Dimension V is really what I wanted and it was certainly worth the few extra bucks over the EB5.The headstock on the D-bass shouts "Fender" but the sound of the pickups and the shape of the body set it apart from the P's and the J's. I have found nirvana in a 5 string!

Musical Background:

Playing since the 60's. I only play bass. I have not played professionally since the mid 80's. I mostly jam with friends.

Musical Style:

Mostly BLUES.
