I don’t know what is going on with Fender.Their QC has a mind of its own and lacks supervision.First Fed Ex delivered this guitar to a house other than mine ,on a street other than mine.I had to study the picture of the porch it was left on and drive around till I found it because Fed Ex sure wasn’t gonna help me find it.I let it acclimate and opened it.I got excited immediately when felt the weight and saw the neck has this almost roasted like tint to it and gorgeous grain. Then noticed the fret sprout on the treble side and had a issue where it was cutting out bends really bad.No matter how hard I tried it would not hold a tune,if you almost got it in tune, was out as soon as you hit a chord or lick on it and if you bent a note forget it.At first I thought great the nut needs to be replaced. After taking back plate off the claw was a real mess. The most out of whack ,lopsided tremolo claw I’ve ever seen. zZounds made me a offer if I wanted to keep it or return it and I took it to a luthier and they fixed the fret issues.I probably should have e returned it but I love the neck profile, the tint ,the weight. Now it’s become a pretty cool guitar and I do think this is probably Fenders best line, far better than most the American series.
