Great, great, great guitar. I always avoided Strat's just because everything seems to be based off a Strat shape or design. Well, I wish I hadn't waited so long becasue this thing is awesome. I won't go crazy being an on-line reviewer and talk about fret edges and pickup heights, etc. All I will say is do yourself a favor and go play one. It will feel great and sound great and make you want to play it more and that should be the whole point of choosing a guitar. Make sure to plug it in and crank it up becasue the noiseless pickups are a revelation. Side by side to my Telecaster (also a Player series), the noise reduction is amazing while still sounding "hot". Plus the Silverburst finish is flawless. Well done Fender.

When I ordered this guitar, I was a little nervous to purchase a blemished guitar, but zZounds really delivered. The blemish was nothing more than a small spot on the end of the headstock that was ever so slightly lighter than the rest. My style of music ranges from clean to hair metal, and this guitar does all of these things well. I have never been a fan of the typical 9.25” radius that most Fender fretboards incorporate, so I have steered clear of them for the entire thirty years of my playing experience. The only Fender guitar I had ever owned was a 1989 HM Strat, which was definitely a shred guitar, but it was a bit weak in other areas. The Player Plus definitely bridges that gap. The cleans are so beautiful and provide that powerful, classic Strat sound we have all come to know and love. Even the humbucker, when split, gives a fantastic tone. Now, for me, the humbucker is really where it’s at! It’s just powerful enough to ease right into that 80’s hair metal sound while maintaining clarity. The single coils are excellent for lead work as well. The neck radius on this is excellent, smooth and quick, yet comfortable when playing open chords as well. Plus, can we even get into just how gorgeous the Bel Air Blue finish is? Just wow!All in all, this guitar is an amazing instrument and I would absolutely recommend it.
