Very impressed with the overall quality right out of the box of this instrument. This is my latest of six strats and the only one I have from Mexico. The sound with the new s-1 switch and 6way tone switch is phenomenal! Pushed in, it is inactive and sounds like a regular strat, let the button out and the 6way switch can bring boost and tone up from a gentle cry to an all out scream. What a versatile instrument!! Only received it two days ago and continue to be impressed. Brought it to my luthier to check out and he was equally impressed. Great job Fender! I just wish it had the Texas special coil pickups (which the zZounds rep said it did) but even with the single coils, it's a great axe!

I love this guitar. I wasn't sure that this was the right direction to go. But once I received it, man, this thing is awesome. I love the pickups and the S1 switch with all the different sounds available makes it versatile and wow, what a great sound. It is incredible. Don't let the fact it is coming from Mexico scare you. The neck is great.

Got this guitar about 6 months ago, and I have to say I am completely satisfied with it. I looked around for a while to find a Strat that I would be ok with since I'm a Les Paul/ and Humbucker type of guy, and I am so happy I came across this one. The quality is very impressive and it was perfect out of the box. Statys in tune, even after using the tremolo. The satin neck is so smoooooth. The sound is so versatile, I really think this is the perfect Strat if you're looking for the "Strat" sound but also something that gets close to the warmth of a humbucker. I highly recommend this baby.

Great guitar. All the tone possibilities, workmanship, and the high thin frets. I love Strats and this is a great one to add to my collection. I just hate the idea of spending 2000 dollars when a guitar is as good as this one. Good job Fender. It smokes thru my Boss Katana 212

"Great guitar... but it just wasn't for me."

I really loved the look but when the time to play it came it just didn't sit right with me. I suspected that it might've been the flatter radius but no as I've played with a 16" radius Ibanez my whole entire guitar playing life (4 years...). I loved the clean tone and the S-1/V6 toggle/switch made the single-coils more boomier (almost full fat humbuckers). Noise was not an issue with these Vintage Noiseless pickups. When it came time to use the tremolo it all came apart for me. It wouldn't stay in tune and I would hear pings at the nut even after some graphite (#2 lead pencil). I hated the threaded arm... after some light use it would come loose and that's after I used some plumbers tape to mitigate the issue. The tall saddle screws would gouge into my palm and I just wanted to stop playing. Also the guitar came out of the box with black little spots that took some elbow grease to remove. I returned it... I was issued a "refund"... Please... PLEASE try before you buy.

I bought this guitar, after owning 5 different strats from various price points. A few that were more expensive than this, and many that were dirt cheap compared to this beaut. First of all the neck is so smooth. Its not extremely glossy and sticky like a lot of fender necks. The pickups sound absolutely amazing. That preamp switch is really cool too. This is hands down my favorite strat that I've purchased. If I had one complaint to make, I'd say its the fret ends in a few spots. Just need to be polished down a bit more. Amazing guitar and would definitely recommend to anyone.
