I received this bass in the morning before a show. I did some minor adjustments on the bridge as my band tunes to C# and took it to the show without ever hearing it on my rig. I usually play on active fender bass’s and was surprised that I needed to cut some mid and treble out. This is definitely the best sounding fender I’ve ever owned and plays like a dream. The quarter turn on the neck is a bonus and the looks with the pearl white body and black neck and hardware is amazing!!!! I would recommend this bass to anyone considering it!!!! I’ve been playing bass 26 years mostly hardcore/metal/punk and I’ve owned every kind of bass that’s under $4000. This bass tops them all.

Upon receiving this Fender bass, I was excited to get to work in my home studio. Running the bass through my Ampeg PF50-T amp and lay down some trax on my Zoom R24. The bass performed as advertised, except i couldn't really differentiate any change in the tone as I manipulated the tone pot. It was gritty and not a smooth feeling pot. as well I rthen noticed the Volume pot was also a bit gritty when turning it. AsI continued to try and figure out the knobs over the next couple of months it has continued to get worse. and now the input jack seems to be cutting in and out. I've exchanged many instrument cables and the same results. Now the tone pot and the volume pot are producing a distorted signal that is totally unacceptable. Regardless of this instrument being Made in Japan. It still has the Fender brand on the headstock.I expected much more for the $1500 I paid for it. And much more from the Fender Guitar Co.
