As usual, zZounds pay-as-you-pay plan, made yet another bass affordable to me. The bass arrived quickly, was well packed, and sounds great! Huge volume and TONE!! The feel is like a jazz bass, but has tone somewhat in between a jazz and p-bass. I got the aged cherry burst, looks great, nice finish, good quality bass.

Musical Background:

I have been playing bass for 20 years. I play locally, but have a day job.

Musical Style:

Progressive rock, Psychedelic, Doom Metal.

"A great bass for little money"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I’ve played almost every expensive bass guitar going in my 50 years as a musician and I rate this guitar very highly. The right balance, sound, easy neck and fretboard, with 18V of power. The sound is exceptionally good quality for the money, and finish quality is outstanding.

First, I'd like to say Thank You ZZ. Fender got this bass right. I did watch a great deal of You Tube reviews, others. I wanted this bass, but was unsure at first. My gut told me to get it. I did. No regrets, no complaints. I bought the black on black MIM. Not much difference between the American, beside an additional HH, a toggle switch, and truss rood adjustment locate in in front of the neck. Powerful bass. Great sounding bass. The single HH powered by an 18v pre amp is more than enough bass sond. This bass playablility is quite effortless. All hardware is top notch Fender. The EQ is very easy to use, can achieve many tones, If you know what you are looking for, you can find the tone and sound you want. I play this fine instrument through a TC Electronic BH500 watt, and 410 GK Neo. No slack in my hardware. Play a good bass through good stuff. This my 8th bass over the years. I enjoy and play all of them frequently.
Sound
It can be Boomin, Nasty Funky, or Smooth or combine all, and be a Bad azz! lol
Ease of Use
Easy. Like any bass, if you know what your are doing, and not a beginner. You will not have any problems. If this is your first bass, or you are a beginner. Read the manual, and make yourself educated for your next purchase from ZZ. Have to start somewhere. I did years ago
Quality
EXCEPTIONALLY WELL MADE. NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.
Value
They say by American. After taking the Fender tour in Corona, CA this past summer. I saw Mexico working, and building the American Fender products. I came to the conclusion, buy MIM for half the cost. As the Fender You Tube rep said on the video, both country makes good Fenders. Fender expect the same expectation from all their factories. People around the world can play a Fender. Bottom line is this, rounding it off in whole dollars. Spend $1600 for a US or pay $800.00 for MIM. I am a married man on a budget. I do not spend over $1000.00, before it was $500.00. You grow as you play. $1000 or less is my budget. I say play them both, US and MIM. You will see, both Fender play very well. Question is how much do you want to spend
Manufacturer Support
Have not had to use MS for anything, except just to inquire, or get information about a product. They were very professional and nice. I am sure if I had a problem, I would be taken care of properly.
The Wow Factor
Sexy bass. Black and chrome can't go wrong. This bass, like my other basses are good looking like me. If I was single, like my this bass....I would catch 24/7 if you know what I mean. This a very nice bass, regardless if it is an American, or Mexico. This bass will wow, and whew we folks. I'm just sayin!

Musical Background:

Seriously playing since 2003, recreationally playing since the early 90's

Musical Style:

Funk, Jazz, Blues, and most all, my own thing.

An absolutely stunning bass. The Fender Dimension IV brings a whole new package to their line, with a jazz neck and the pre-amp, it just sounds incredible. Enough of sounding like a commercial, this is the cheaper not made in America one, but the quality is still absolutely amazing (As is common place with Fender).

Musical Background:

Been playing bass for 3 years, able to play Mandolin, Guitar, Ocarina, and the Trumpet.

Musical Style:

Progressive rock, Psychadelic, Hard rock
