I can't believe how much I love this guitar. It weighs 5lbs,15ozs and it came set up and intonated. Usually I don't mind if a new guitar needs set up because I've been doing it myself for 40 years now. But it's kinda nice that I didn't have to this time. The fretwork was perfect and the rolled fingerboard edges make it feel like a USA model. What really surprised me was the pickups. The older ceramic ones that Fender used on the MIM models, they kinda sucked so I wasn't expecting much to be honest. These are the new Alnico V pickups though and I honestly don't think I'll be changing them. They have all the twang you'd expect from a Tele but they're also very versatile. So far I've played Punk, Classic Rock, and a bunch of 80's covers with this guitar and it's been able to handle it all effortlessly. It records pretty good too, it's got enough bite to cut through a mix without sounding harsh. And the neck is RWRP so I can get a decent enough humbucker sound by manipulating the Tone knob, which really increases it's versatility. I feel like this one guitar could replace several in my lineup at this point. If you're in market for a solid Tele that's a jack-of-all-trades, here you go. And FYI I'm not endorsed by Fender nor do I work for them lol. I just like the guitar that much and was totally impressed. The only thing I regret is that zZounds doesn't have the White Blonde version with the Rosewood board, I would've loved to have that one.
