I got one about 7 months ago and i really enjoy playing it. It will need to be set up when you get it. I had a bolt fall off and couldn't find a replacement. Emailed fender and they sent me some new ones free very quickly! I also played and gigged with it for about 5 months without setting up or changing anything other than strings. I have changed the bridge to a new american mustang bridge (which is 9.5 radius) as well as shimmed the neck. No more bridge issues and saved myself the cost of a mastery. I love the tremolo it feels so good for the music I play, shoegaze/dreampop. Pickups sound awesome! It does have grounding issues so I will have a tech fix that later on but it doesn't bother me. Plus look at it! I plan on keeping it forever and modding it without the guilt of modding a vintage axe.

I purchased this guitar new from zZounds because they were the only retailer to have it in Daphne Blue. It is stunning. It plays great, looks great and sounds great. I bought this guitar as a memorabilia piece because someone I knew when I was 13 had one in the color Daphne Blue.

Musical Background:

I have been playing the guitar since I was nine years old.

This guitar has fantastic build quality. Mine arrived in perfect condition. The neck feels great right out of the case. The pickups sound perfect. The electronics are right on. The only thing I did not like was the knock off Vietnamese "Deluxe" case? I don't even like the deluxe cases and a cheap knock off doesn't make me any happier. A nice SKB TSA approved case would have been more appropriate.

Ordered this guitar on sale, received the next day! Guitar is well made, lacquer finish is perfect. Neck feels VERY good on the hand, balance is also good. Pickups are the real vintage large single coil, unlike the Pro model V-mod. That war the reason I chose this model, it SOUNDS like a Jazzmaster should! It will require a careful setup, once I got the frets and binding rolled (20 mins) and the action set, also very low - it is a very good value, forget the MX - it is well worth the price. Case is OK, not the best, and it will hum if not grounded well. JUST LIKE A 60 year old Jazzmaster would.

I cannot express how completely disappointed I was with this guitar. Having owned a (Japanese) Jaguar for many years I decided to get a new Jazzmaster. For the price, I expected much more. When I picked it up from the case it felt almost toyish. The fretboard was rough, the bridge was very inferior and the overall build quality was just terrible. You could spend a lot of frustration and time with Jazzmasters and Jaguars if they are not built with standards. I had a few reservations about getting a Mexican made guitar, but if this is the quality for $1000 they are putting out. No thanks.
