I really think this guitar could be your number one main axe easy. I guess if you got a pile of money you might find something higher end, but I believe you'd probably be playing a guitar beyond your means just for cosmetics.

Sound

Sounds like a Tele...Snappy and responsive...Gritty

Features

Came with a Strap and strap locks to keep your guitar from flying out into the crowd during a monster solo. The volume cleans up the grit with backing her down about a notch or two when you don't want the tele growl for a piece. The s-1 pickup switching is nice but real subtle.

Ease of Use

Plays like a Dream! The compound radius fingerboard is amazing! Running a lead is nice with the fretboard radius and 22 med jumbo frets.

Quality

This guitar is really put together well. Everything is solid and fit. Road ready and will probably last a lifetime with proper care.

Value

Worth every penny! You will not find anything else in this price range built this well or looking this nice. Fenders quality control is on top of things and has fair pricing unlike a lot of the other guys.

The Wow Factor

I got mine in Olympic Pearl with rosewood and it looks Stunning, pic's don't do it justice.

I have owned the Deluxe Tele for about a month now. I went with the rosewood fret board. The guitar sounds and plays fantastic. I,Really like the S-1 switching. You can get almost a humbucker sound and the great single coil you would expect. The finish is beautiful. Pictures don't do the guitar justice. Love this guitar. Play through Blackstar 2x12 60w and a Line 6 HD500. Awesome sound

I have been playing guitar for 40 plus years. Play in local bands and do home recording

I play classic rock and blues. Favorite guitar players are Stevie Ray, Hendrix , Page and many more influences.

"If at first you don't suceed."

I had to send two back before getting a keeper. The first one had a flaw in the wood that would have been fine if it had been painted a solid color. Mechanically it was fine. The second one had a neck that could not be corrected. It also had a string height adjustment screw that was installed upside downwards. The third had a slight scratch in the fret board which did not bother me. Fender needs to do a better job on quality control. I thought it would be OK to order an American made Tele online. I have to compliment ZZounds on their Customer Service. They did an exceptional job of dealing with the situation. The factory set up was not that close. I had trusted Luthiers look at all three guitars. After setup by the Luthier on the third guitar I am well pleased with the American Deluxe Telecaster. It sounds awesome!

I've been playing about 50 years. I played in bands when I was young. Now I just entertain myself at home.

Mostly Country.
