Purchased a 'Blemished' Deluxe Ash Stratocaster from zZounds! It arrived exactly as scheduled and in immaculate condition. The Blemish was a little hard to discern as there were a couple of really minor scratches on the body of the guitar in places that took a great deal of examination in direct light to discover, so for all intents and purposes it was a brand new guitar. Everything was included in the case that would have been included with a 'brand new guitar' and it played, after some tuning, perfectly right out of the box which was well packed and in perfect shipping condition. I was most pleased by the condition of the guitar as I was a bit apprehensive buying a guitar at this price without having seen it. I will definitely buy from zZounds again as they were professional, prompt, and the product met my best expectations.

This is a very well made and playing guitar. Bought some extra tremolo springs and put them on, for a total of five, and the tuning stability is awesome. This is my first guitar with locking tuners and I love them. I am still playing with all the different tonal possibilities the S1 switch offers, and, it has been more than a month. This Strat cannot replace my Gibson SG, however, my SG cannot replace this Strat. They are apples and oranges. I plan to keep this guitar for a very long time.

Long time amatuer.

I bought a new American Deluxe Ash Strat in 2005 for $1050.00 out the door at Total Entertainment in Daytona Beach FL. . Looks like it was a good investment, I shoulda bought twenty. Stays in tune no problems at all. They called the color Heritage Cherry Sunburst then and it still looks like the day I bought it. Nice hard finish. Plays great, sounds great. I've been amazed at just how well it stays in tune. You want a KILLER Strat that'll last at least nine years (this guitar will be around a very long time) this one will make you happy. One of the locking tuners is finicky when you restring but that is the absolute only not wonderful thing that I could say about this stick. The strap that came with it has become my favorite guitar strap of all time. The case is hardshell, could be a tad better made my I'm really nitpicking as it's now over nine years old and everything still works fine one it. I have no idea how good Fender support is as I've never had a reason to contact them. If you're on the fence about this guitar just go ahead and buy it. You'll love it! All things being equal, in nine years it'll be worth more than you paid for it unless you pull a Hendrix and light it on fire. ;-) I ran it through a Mesa Boogie Mark lV combo with a Mesa Rectifier Standard 4X12 cab for several years, a Mesa Lonestar Special, Peavey Delta Blues, Peavey Classic 50 4X10, Fender Cybertwin, Fender GDEC 15 AND 30, and now a pair of Blackstar HT-1R's and a Marshall DSL40C. I'm sure I've forgotten at least one... It sounds great through anything unlike some guitars I've owned. Heck (heck? ;-)), I've about talked myself into buying another! :-)
