This is hands down the best guitar ever. I purchased a Fender Player Series II strat back in October because the Ultra II Sinister Red had sold out before I could get one. I knew I wanted it after seeing the videos Fender posted on its reveal date. The Player Series II was a nice guitar, the only thing is the action was too high. After playing it for a month and a half, I still found myself wanting this guitar. Playing it at Guitar Center was what help me make the decision. When I checked this site out to see if it was in stack again, there were only two left. I was back and forth about getting the Ultra II. But I didn't want to miss the chance again. So I pulled the trigger. I tell you, I have NO regrets. This guitar plays and feels like butter. The D neck is amazing. It makes playing feel fun and easy. My fretting hand doesn't crap up and get stiff like it did on the Player Series II with C neck. This axe feels like money, top dollar. Definitely a bang for your buck. The Ultra II sings like no other. My guitar instructor, who has played for over 60 hears, has a Japanese Fender. While we were playing together, they sounded similar and good together. He constantly complimented my guitar. There aren't many reviews about the Ultra II HSS strat. So, I hope mines helps someone out. I found out that I got the last one in stock. Whenever it comes back in stock, I highly recommend everyone to GET ONE. The case is even plush. The only problem I had was the first pick up has a shortage in it. Which is no big deal to me. The quality of the Ultra II almost made me overlook it. All I did was register my guitar on Fender's website for the warranty and took it to a local ship that is certified to fix it under my warranty. This guitar is man-made. Things will happen. That doesn't take away from all of the good things I said about this great guitar. And it still gets 5 stars from me. Thanks Fender and zZounds!!!
