My skepticism about the price of this Strat melted away as I played it and compared it to my other Strats. I love the tones I can get from it in every position -- including the split coil. For me, that's saying a lot because I usually find split coil tones to be weak and pretty much useless. As for the neck, it's quite comfortable. The compound radius makes playing frets higher up easy, and the quartersawn maple wood keeps things stable even in this winter with wide temperature swings. The finish is fantastic! I love the lightly checked nitro and the seafoam green color. It's prettier in person than in photos online. This is now my number one Strat, and after a month of playing it has slipped into my rotation as one of the top guitars in my collection. It feels like it's heading to the very top every day. I would give it 5 full stars, but I'm taking one star off of value because of the price. It's expensive, but I love it anyway.
