The Evans EC2 heads are the only heads I will ever use.
Sound
I have had these EC2 heads on all my drums now for 4 years and they still sound good. I just put new EC2s on my stage set, and wow! I forgot how great they sound new. Definetely worth the money hands down. Mark Eckstein www.hydeawaysouth.com
Features
No flaws in my 4 years experiance with them. And yes I am a power drummer. They take a beating for sure.
Ease of Use
Both with tension tuner, and free hand these heads tune up and hold well for hours of pounding. I have played 5 hours straight with them. Had them in a cold storage bin practicing, a hot storage bin practicing. Transported them without cases time to time for down the street back to back gigs. They are still going strong.
Quality
100% in my experiance so far. Sound durabillity, look, tuning, lots of inquiries from other drummers and musicians. My 2nd set is a off brand drumset I picked up off craigslist for 100.00 for practicing at home, made in Taiwan. I used them at a open mic for a charity....people were blown away by the sound. It was 97% EC2 3% my knowledge in tuning and sound. Thanks Evans for your creation.
Value
Nothing out there better. Trust me I have heard some horrible drums out there around the club scene. And I always make time to take a peak at the skins. And yes I always suggest they try Evans EC2 next time they need heads.
Manufacturer Support
The best because I never had to call them for anything. You cant beat that support. ;)-
The Wow Factor
I will play on these for as long as Evans are selling the EC2's

The 9 is only for price, these are fantastic drumheads! I have played every brand out there and you will not find a better sounding head! They tune up very easy, they give that deep pleasing tone all drummers want from the 80s bands! Buying drum heads can drive one to madness...Not with these, I promise they are what you have been waiting for.Do not use muffling on these heads!!
Sound
Nice deep rich, tone! very pleasing indeed! that fat sound of the 80s is here!
Ease of Use
This head tues up to pitch very very easily and is extrememly durable
Quality
These heads are built tough as nails and will last a long time
Value
I think they are a tad expensive
