Oh, cool! I'm the the first post a review. This is one sweet piece of gear. My other tube amps are a '79 Silverface Champ, a Vox AC-4/112, and the latest iteration of the DSL; a DSL-1CR. This one surpasses them all. (Well, omit the Vox. NOTHING sounds like a Vox, except another Vox. ) The amp was co-designed by James Brown. (No, not him. This James Brown was the man who helped Edward design the Peavey 5150.) Getting to the point, I would categorize this amp's two channels as, 1. Edward's Marshall years, and 2. The 5150 era. And each channel has a second mode with extra shred. The reverb is pretty strong so I keep it low. The Presence and Resonance controls, well, I'm still getting used to them. As this 15w model comes with a 10" speaker, the sound isn't bad but it isn't room-filling. This amp has a second output jack so I changed the impedance setting and added a 1×12. Wow, huge improvement. I recently bought the EVH 1×12 external cabinet to complete the ensemble. I bought the ivory tolex model and it makes for a beautiful mini stack. (I loved Randy's white Marshall stack, btw.) I got lucky in that I caught both pieces on sale, but even at the regular price, this is some superlative gear. (These amps are crafted in Fender's Ensenada factory so you know the quality is good.)
