overall i recommend everyone get themselves a viper, you seriously CANNOT go wrong.
Sound
The set neck and the EMG 81/85s make for a seriously amazing sound. The 81 is probably the best metal style pick up you can buy. and the 85 offers unmatched clean tones. The sustain lasts forever and you wont find a better sound for this price.
Features
Tune-o-matic bridge is great as always. EMg 81/85's. single volume, single tone knobs. nothing out of the ordinary.
Ease of Use
This guy is average weight, feels about the same as my gibson les paul, nice sturdy feel. in terms of ease of use, you max the tone and volume and you're rockin out.
Quality
this is where this guitar shines, only ZZounds offered it in the satin brown finish which is exactly what i was looking for. its a smooth matte brown and remarkably beautiful. the binding around the neck gives it a touch of flair and it off sets the guitar nicely. the pick ups are the best. why pay $1400 for a locking neck when this thing stays in tune just fine?
Value
for $570 you can't go wrong. the next version up offers a locking bridge and EMG 60 instead of the 85. which is nice but for the extra $300 you really don't need to bother.
Manufacturer Support
never had to deal with ESP because nothing with this guitar has gone wrong.
The Wow Factor
like i stated before this guitar is even more beautiful in person. the finish is seriously to die for.
