Since receiving this guitar, I struggled a little to find it's niche. Drop C was allllllmost there, but it has found a home in Drop B tuning. I used NYXL 12-60 extra heavies on it, and it holds up great. An absolutely monsterous metal guitar. Sound is huge. Coil split is actually functional. The Duncan Custom is one of my favorite humbuckers, and it SINGS in this big body guitar. The Phat Cat in the neck is surprisingly articulate, but warm. GREAT for solos. The pickup combination is exquisite, and I will probably do the same setup in my SE CU24. Pulled a half star on value because it feels a little bit overpriced, but I am still considering adding another to my stable. Maybe a white one....
