Incredible instrument for the value, as someone whose realm of music is primarily black metal and death metal, this guitar is really all I need, the u-shape neck as well as its satin finish make playing up and down the neck a breeze and the incredibly light weight of the instrument ensures hours of play without any discomfort
Sound
The EMG really pushes the sound of the amplifier to the next level, this is my first instrument with an active pickup and I was blown away by the difference it made.
Features
The locking tuners make restringing a very quick affair, and I’m able to tune down the C# standard with no tuning issues whatsoeverThough the Black Metal Arrow only comes equipped with a single pickup, I promise it’s all you need if you’re looking to play more extreme genres of music. It’s extremely light, and the round cutaway near the center of the instrument is a game changer when it comes to both comfort and ease of play, allowing one to play just as comfortable standing up as sitting down. Just sit that bad boy on your leg and shred, riff and thrash to your heart’s content without any issue accessing any fret on the neck. The kill switch on the guitar doesn’t see much use from me, but it is fun to have and it’s fun to just hammer on it at the end of a song just to make the audience think you know what you’re doing
Ease of Use
As someone who primarily uses the bridge pickup, the single EMG is all I need to get the sound I’ve been looking for for years, chords sound just as clear as single notes with that baby. And one can roll the volume knob down to get some delicious cleans just -barely- touch on the dirty side, a surprisingly great range on the pickup
Quality
The product was made surprisingly well for a MII (made in Indonesia) guitar, the only issue I had out of the box was the a couple of the tuning machines had to be tightened up a little bit, but other than that the Arrow, in all honesty, came out of the box ready to play. Aside from that one little (but easily remedied) issue, the quality is excellent. No sharp edges on the frets, no tool marks on the neck, and the fretboard itself has very -very- minimal streaking on, giving the guitar a very uniform, very kvlt look.
Value
The LTD Black Metal Arrow is absolutely bang for the buck, it’s a workhorse of an instrument and it’s definitely going be seeing years of use from me
