This is my third MB100 (I gave the others to students). Pretty good right out of the box. Just set the bridge, tune up and go. No frills; great travel banjo, as it's really light. Workmanship is excellent for such an inexpensive instrument. I've even recorded with it, and it sounds amazing. Haven't needed to use the Manufacturer Support.

When I opened the box the low G tuner was sitting in the bottom of the banjo bag. The tuner had completely come out of the headstock. The spined grooves in the headstock that prevent the tuner from spinning when you tighten the strings and to keep the tuner in were completely stripped out. The hole that the tuner goes into is also worn open. The only way for the tuner hole to be repaired is to drill it out, fill in the hole in the headstock with filler and adhesive, drill the headstock out, then put new grooves into the headstock. It's well beyond an easy repair. Of course zZounds did an easy return. My "goto" brand has always been Epiphone and I have several Epiphone guitars but I think I will have to find another brand. DO NOT BUY
