"A Lot of Guitar for the Price"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

zZounds shipped it right away, amazing company! Received the guitar, fully intact, and well packed. The olive drab color is more beautiful in person! Play a chord and the whole thing vibrates, top, back, neck and headstock! I play this thing for hours on end! And it's a joy to noodle around plugged or unplugged. Get one...or two. It's one of those models that you'd regret not getting when it gets discontinued. Buy it now so you won't have to scour "Reverb" in the future. Add to cart!

As long as you're not trying to go beyond the 17th fret, I highly recommend this. I am a beginner guitarist and I absolutely love the feel and reach and neck of this guitar. Rythmn, Jazz, Rock, Blues, and even some rockabilly can be played effortlessly on this guitar. As a beginner I was told to get something easy like a tele/strat/SG...but my love for the Beatles and Rolling Stones got the better of me and said get a Casino. I have gotten the above mentioned guitars but all pale in comparison to sound I prefer from the casino. Unplugged I can practice in the wee hours of the night until morning and not disturb roomies or neighbors. Plugged in with some overdrive this is a beast and helps contend with the feedback that is more manageable today than yester-years. I have since purchased numerous guitars from Zzounds and love their payment plans and expedition of delivery even down to the courtesy of staff if I had an issue with one guitar which has been returned and replaced with the least amount of hassle. Try this casino and try zZounds, you won't regret it

"Worn Olive Drab Casino"

Just received the Worn Olive Drab Casino and as expected it is very lightweight and a bit twangy but it sounds great in my Spark amp. The neck pickup is a bit dull but the bridge pickup is nice and bright so with the switch in the middle position you get a nice blend of both. Pots are nice and have the not-so-loose feeling as some Epiphone guitars are.The Worn Olive Drab finish is actually pretty appealing and makes the guitar stand out as for looks.Just a tiny crack at the top of the neck at the nut and along the binding. I'll explore it more when I change the strings. The strings that came on the guitar must be Gibson strings as there is a tag in the Candy Bag that says that. There's a twang from the Top Low E string coming from the trapeze but I can't pin point it. Once I have any amplification I cannot hear any twang. The neck is thin but fun to play on, no issues but it is thinner than others I have that are C shaped. The neck was darker than the photos on the website and look like they'll darken up once oiled with some Fast Fret.I will make some adjustments to the action as the Low E is slightly high and the neck is straight but I want to provide a bit of relief to it that I think will help with the action being a consistent even space above the fretboard. Made in Factory 15 in 2022 so I know it is a good Epiphone. All my Epiphone guitars are from this specific Factory. So would I recommend this guitar? Absolutely! I have bought a couple or more guitars now from zZounds over the years, always have had respectful communication with them and if there's been any issue they are there to resolve it. With this Epiphone Worn Olive Drab Casino I had no issues with ordering or delivery. Everything was packed professionally and tracking information was given so everything was smooth from Ordering to Delivery. zZounds, Top Notch! My plan is to keep buying a guitar from them, one after another because zZounds is just that affordable!

"A Simply Great Guitar"

I spent a lot of time deciding on which guitar to buy. But I am so glad I went with the Worn Blue Casino. It is another great product from Epiphone. I can see why the Beatles loved these guitars; they constantly feel they're going out of control but never do. The clean sounds are fabulous but where the Casino thrives is when overdriven. I did replace the tuners with locking tuners but that's the only change I'll make. I love the pickups, the pots are CTS so I don't see a reason. Buy this guitar, you'll love it!!!

"Epiphone Casino Worn Ebony"

I ought to have delayed my review longer, but my enthusiasm got the better of me. This guitar is a 100% genuine Epiphone Casino worthy of it's namesake, but a lot more affordable. The fact Epiphone built this model is surprising enough, but that they built it so well and affordably is astonishing. There seems to be no quality lacking that isn't on the standard Casino. This guitar is perfect for blues, jazz, and rock. It is a guitar for veterans and curious newbies who don't know they want to play guitar. For a present to your girlfriend, daughter, mom; for young hands, for Casino lovers and collectors nothing can compare with the immediate familiar feel, tactile touch and supreme playability of the worn Casino. Put this under the tree!

My first Casino, and I must say, I love this guitar. So lightweight but doesn't compromise on the tone quality. The only drawback that I have found is the strap button being on the back side if the guitar, but again I can get a strap lock to remedy that.
