I bought this guitar for my wife who is a huge Joan Jett fan. I have been teaching her guitar for a year or so and had originally bought her an Ibanez JemJr that she had fell in love with. She rarely ever picked it up and instead always grabbed my Dean Cadillac. So she decided she would rather get rid of the JemJr and try this. That was the best decision she could've made. This feels like a better made guitar all the way around and on top of that she can't put it down. There were a few small issues like white spots from the paint on the fingerboard and the pickup housing being cracked in 2 spots. However I reached out to gibson and they are sending a replacement for it so no complaints whatsoever. I have many guitars to compare this to and I am very pleased with this guitar. It plays better than most guitars around this price point. And for someone who hasn't been playing real long this is perfect. Single pickup, one Volume knob, and a killswitch. It doesn't get much simpler than that.
