Man...I can't say enough good things about this guitar,I was very skeptical of an epiphone over a gibson, but man,I can't tell the difference....the sound is AMAZING....super fast neck, the heavy sound when running high impact distortion.....I have never been more impressed with a guitar at an everyday price point...granted 1200 bucks is 1200 bucks, but for what you get ....man I'll take that all day long

After watching YouTube channels and listening to many different reviews I decided to go with the this model and I am glad that I did. the sustain with the powered pickups is un believable. also i put some 8 gauge strings on it and it bends are smooth and powerful. The only thing i would say that took some getting used to was the jumbo frets. its a bit heavy but you will get used to it. it is beautiful and the case is great too.

I don't know if I just got really lucky or if these guitars are just this good. From the reviews, I'm thinking they're just really this good. It arrived flawless. 24 smooth polished frets on a standard Gibson scale. Endless different guitar tones. You can make this thing sound just about like any vintage or modern guitar with very little effects at all. It does the big 4 spot on. (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax). Sustain for days. Super thin, easy, fast neck all the way up. High ratio Grover true LOCKING tuners that stays in tune no matter how far you bend the strings. After setting it up the strings almost lay on the frets with no string buzz heard in the amp. Super quiet pick ups even on 2 cranked 100 watt tube full stacks on a stereo effect. No feedback or unwanted noise at all with muted strings standing 3 feet in front of them. Play any style of music from hill billy to low tuned metal. Drops down to C tuning with no problems. I only have one other guitar with action this low. It's a 70's Gibson explorer. I do have two Sweetwater exclusive smokehouse burst Gibson Les Paul classics with push/pulls and 60's pickups that I really like. However... As bad as I hate to say it, even think it, or admit it.... No Gibson Les Paul I've ever played lives up to the options, sound, and playability of this Jerry Cantrell Les Paul. I sure hate to admit it after paying what I did for the Gibson's new. I like them and do play them on occasion. But this one plays better, and lets me play without switching out guitars for different sounds. You can get great strat, and tele sounds out of it, on the split pots too. I even heard the quacky Mustang and Jaguar barks out of it a few times toying around with only the guitar pots. No effects other than reverb. My second guitar at age 13 was a 1966 USA fender mustang. I've had this Les Paul for a couple of years now. Still loving it. No issues at all. The neck stays straight. Highly recommend to beginners, and advanced players. Where was this guitar when I started playing? Hope this helps somebody save a lot of money, and get a great guitar at the same time! Comes with a snug hardshell case too!
Musical Background:
I'm age 50. Started playing at 12. I gladly quit playing from age 18 to 45 to work and raise children. No regrets.
