The new Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy ushers in the new age of premium Epiphone Les Paul guitars. Premium features include Grover locking tuners, green triangle inserts on the fret markers, and nice binding on the front of the guitar. And let's not forget the Fishman Fluence active humbuckers w/ a variety of push pull pots that give you a variety of different tones. Gone are the old days where you had to replace the pickups on your new Epiphone. These Fishman Fluence humbuckers are keepers. These humbuckers can go from sweet sounding to real rock and metal monsters with the right distortion pedal(s). They can get mean and nasty. The band will definitely not drown you out. The Prophecy will let everyone know who's in charge of the tone. Turn the volume up and the neighbors will be banging on the door! The looks of the guitar are somewhat subdued and not the usual glossy shiny finish on let's say an Epiphone Custom. The tone is what separates them apart from run of the mill Epiphones. These guitars are top notch instruments and represent a good value at still affordable prices. Add the zZounds installment pay plan and you have a winning combination.

"Great guitar after the set up!"

This is a great high end Epi, but.. It arrived in in terrible condition. The guitar arrived with a terrible set up, The neck had a bad bow to it and it buzzed and had flat notes everywhere. The QC before shipping is not there. I had to get it set up by a luthier and it was a bit of a mess according to him. Post setup it is a beast. The Fishman pups are amazing, they give you a huge range of tonal possibilities. I love it, I play hard rock, blues, R & B semi professionally for the past 40 years. I didn't like Gibson Les Pauls because of the weight, and price. Now I am completely satisfied with the Epi LP. This thing has jumbo frets, Grover tuners, 24 frets. It is moving up to my number one with a bullet. You have to understand this is an import and is shipped from overseas and so it has endured temperature variations, shipping issues, etc. Get it setup professionally and you will love it.

Wow, what an awesome Les Paul.Great tones possibilities. I've seen videos of Metal players. I play blues with mine through a Fender Tonemaster amp, and it works great. I highly recommend this instrument.I give it a 10 out of 10 for looks, tone, and play ability.I have been a zZounds customer for quite some time. No problems no hassle.

"Terrible guitar!"

Well, this is the worst quality guitar I have ever seen in a while, actually I have been playing since 1977 and about 28 guitars have come and gone and this is the worst, is really unplayable! The nut is cut to high (I mean really high), the intonation is way off, the action is too high, fret buzz even with the action so high, the bridge makes noises when playing. $200 guitars play better than this guitar these days. I got it because of the great reviews on YouTube, but I am really disappointed. I have an Epiphone Les Paul custom and that one is not so bad.
