I've been a Gibson/ Epiphone player for a long, LONG time, mostly Les Pauls. I bought this guitar on a whim and couldn't be happier. Fit & finish is fantastic, playability is great too, thicker neck than expected, but that's what I prefer. These Epiphone Probucker Customs are killer pickups. Brighter than the Probucker 2&3 set, but not harsh. They sound great clean and dirty, but they prefer some Gain. The frets, out of the box were good too. Just a quick fret polish and string change and I was up and running. Mine is also staying in tune perfectly. I was tempted to buy the newer IBGC Les Paul Custom, but took a chance on this and I'm VERY glad I did. This is also a beautiful guitar, the Quilt Top just looks classy and bad-ass at the same time. Gorgeous. The included gig bag is a nice touch, but this Custom is worthy of a quality hard case. If you're in the market for a great playing, great sounding, BEAUTIFUL Les Paul, (but don't wanna spend Gibson money) I highly recommend this guitar.
