Just got this new Epiphone Grabber. Great service and shipping by zZounds. Very nice bass; build quality is excellent. It came nicely set up, all I had to do was tune it. It gives me all the sounds I love from 1974. Granted, sound wise it's limited to the sweet spot humbucker, but the coil tap is useful. I got mine in ebony; the fit and finish are top notch. Epiphone is building instruments on par with Gibson, and this one surpasses. Great playable neck. Who cares if th pickup doesn't slide.

"Kinda a Grabber"

It’s a great bass, made well but it’s not anything like original. Without the maple body ( very high end tone) and that vintage sliding pickup, it sounds more like a music man bass. Also should be $699, 1000 is way to much.
