"Making Dave Grohl Proud"

This thing roars!! If you’re hesitant because of the price, do not be. It is not your typical “Epiphone” - this baby seriously kicks ***! After shipping it was still practically in tune. It feels, and most important, sounds like a Gibson - especially with the Burstbuckers. Dave Grohl has got to be proud of this one!

I purchased this guitar from zZounds about a month ago and this thing rocks. It is easily the most versatile guitar in my collection. I have never played a guitar that is so dynamic and responsive. I took the advice from Larry Carlton aka Mr 335 on how he sets his up by turning both tone knobs to 10 and using the middle pickup switch. The bridge pickup will give brighter sound and neck warmth. So when you roll off volume it cleans up beautifully and roll forward and it screams. This guitar can play any genre from jazz and blues to country, rock and even metal. This is a tone monster

I am most impressed with the Gibson sound from this guitar. I received my 05/2024 DG-335 manufactured guitar. I give a 9/10 to the overall. I would definitely recommend purchasing this guitar from zZounds. Absolutely a bargain at the price I paid.

I was completely caught off guard by this model releasing apparently one of the only ones, I missed my chance in 07 and always said I would buy a dg335 if they ever re released them kind of happy it was an epiphone for cost reasons lol. But wow out of the box I’m truly impressed by the quality and sound and f this guitar, the burst buckers roar and clean up nice with the volume down.if your a Dave Grohl fan or want a good quality semi hollow that’s affordable that packs a punch you won’t be disappointed ,

Grab one while you can, because this guitar was pure awesomeness (before) it was on sale. Now it's a "must own"! Powerhouse Gibson USA Burstbuckers, a custom hardshell case, full front/back binding, and excellent construction make this DG335 impossible to pass up. Not to mention it has a cool vibe and unstable pedigree.I actually just got my own a few days ago, and I can't find a single thing wrong with it. And as far as I can tell, this guitar is capable of handling any genre! I was pretty surprised how versatile the pick-ups were. I've had Burstbucker 2 & 3 in another guitars, but they shine here in a way I have (not) heard before. I also played this version up against a very similarly set-up Gibson ES335. So the Gibson sounds noticeably different, but not necessarily better. Both guitars have excellent reproduction with singing leads and full crisp chords. However, the Gibson ES 335 has a slim taper neck, which is fine - but it's not my favorite. I easily prefer the beefier profile on the DG335's one piece mahogany neck. I fully realize the Gibson has "finer" tone woods & a thinner clearcoat, but this Epiphone easily beats the USA crafted model on workmanship (regardless of price). Honestly, I don't even dig the Foo Fighters (not at all), but on this instrument, you simply can't go wrong.

Just scored one of these DG335's (brand new) for under $800, and that's a STEAL, especially considering it was already a good value at $1299. Fortunately, it's just better news from there, starting with its perfect palm pleasing Elliptical C-shape neck. It's chunkier & wider than a Slim-Taper, with a wonderful profile for all types of play. Strummin' chords, singing notes, nasty bends and righteous leads fly right off the DG335's Indian laurel fretboard. Not to mention, this beauty arrived with ZERO flaws in the finish or the assembly. All I had to do was lower the saddles a bit. Boom...Ready for rock! Or blues! Or Jazz! Or country...or essentially any music you can throw its way, thanks to a meaty set of Gibson USA Burstbuckers (2 & 3). These babies carry a nice full dirty bite, and seem extra friendly to all my pedals and a wide range of Amps/heads/cabs. I let this super sick semi-hollow rip through and EBH 5150III-head (& Marshall 1960A cabinet), which tore my house to the ground! But this DG335 never squealed or fed back. What!?!? It was also able to calm WAY down thru a toasty (but clean) Fender Twin Reverb, warm & supple. The truth is, I can't find a combination that it doesn't sound great thru. And that is a perfect fit for me because I need a guitar that I'm not afraid to take to a gig, beat up a little bit, and not completely flip out if it get stolen. And speaking of playing live, this stunner looks dyno up on stage, plus it's perfectly balanced & not too heavy. Yes, I'll say it again: This is a tremendous instrument!! And even tho I don't (really) love Pelham Blue...I adore EVERYTHING else about this sweet sound makin' machine. Ok, that's it. Ha ha...just buy one already! You'll love yourself for it.

Musical Background:

Still Jammin!!

Only the good stuff, ha ha!
