As someone who's owned and played a number of American professional guitars, this absolutely shocked me for the price. I wanted a semi hollow guitar, and loved the look of the Raspberry Iced Tea I the pics. So I thought I'd give it a try. I can hardly put this thing down. The tone is fantastic. It came set up very well. It's a big neck compared to my other guitars but it works for this one. The guitar looks even better in person. Sounds amazing. The tones immediately scream classic rock, country rock, and blues. Not sure I'd try it for metal... But definitely sounds great playing harder rock, and cleans up beautifully. Sustain is amazing as you'd expect. As someone who's owned American artists series guitars, I hate hearing people automatically put down less expensive guitars. There are hidden gems out there, and this is one. While it was set up great, I will tweak a bit to my taste. The neck is dry... May play in, or I'll treat with oil. And zZounds was great as usual. Fast shipping. Great service. Now I just need a case.

I bought this cause I've been wanting to get an ES-335 for a while. At first, I almost bought the regular plain top ES-335, but in the end chose the "figured" top. Really glad i did. I chose the Raspberry Tea Burst. I am not a fan of the Blueberry Burst. The one I got has a BEAUTIFUL top. Even though its just a flamed maple veneer, who cares, it still looks gorgeous. Even the back of it looks amazing. It has good figuring in the top and the back. It looks better than some of the Gibsons i was checking out at my local guitar stores. Epiphone really knocked it out of the park with this one. I'm very pleased with the look of the guitar. and it came setup damn near perfect. Super low action, it's just so easy to play. It plays a good bit better than guitars over twice its price. And the sound is pretty damn good. It is definitely one versatile guitar. I mean you can play everything from jazz(obviously), blues, country, rock, and even metal on this thing. I was playing stuff like King Diamond, Judas Priest, etc. just to see if the guitar could handle it sound-wise, and sure enough, it sounded damn good. You can get real good clarity and note definition from the pickups with higher gain, not muddy sounding, unless you go out of your way to make it sound like crap. It can also handle the cleans with ease. Overall, it's one damn fine guitar, and I would recommend it to anyone, Period. It's just so versatile, you can literally use it to play anything (that doesn't need a whammy bar, of course). Speaking of whammy bars, I might even get a Floyd Rose FRX for it just to make it the Ultimate Guitar. Like I said, It's One Damn Fine Guitar.

I got my Epiphone ES335 in late July, and I have to say, "this guitar (at this price point) is awesome." What impressed me it came and the strings were loose and I pulled it out of the box, tuned it up and did absolutely nothing else to it. The Grover tuners are very good and it stays in tune very well. I have yet to change the strings or have it set up yo my liking. To be honest, it was great right out of the box. I'm a 45 year player and I've owned a few budget and expensive guitars and this Epiphone ES335 definitely holds its own. If you want a all around guitar and can't afford the real ES335 Gibson, don't be afraid to try this one. zZounds has been my go to for gear for 8 years now and they never disappoint. Fantastic guitar for this type of price. Well done Epiphone/Gibson!

Very nice guitar! My first experience with a 335 and it's a beauty. I'm an absolute beginner, but this quality guitar should help my progression a lot easier. Added some Ernie Ball Primo Slinky 9.5 strings and had it set up from my local tech. Wonderful purchase.

I’ve owned several Epiphone’s over the years. This is the worst quality one I’ve ever owned. The tuners are extremely poor quality, Pickups are less than stellar and the setup job is terrible. All fixable things but not things you should have to do to a brand new guitar. I do love the blueberry burst paint job but the rest of this guitar was extremely disappointing.
