Tons of fun. Quality is outstanding! So much fun switching between necks. Pups also better than I expected. Very impressed with my first epiphone. It is the first guitar everyone goes to when they are at my place. Sound quality is excellent.

This guitar is beautiful; a work of art. It plays and sounds great. The twelve-string was set up perfectly right out of the box, with low action and accurate intonation. I couldn't believe how effortless it was to play. The six-string neck had heavier strings and needed some adjustments, which I haven't quite finished yet (still needs a truss rod adjustment), but also plays quite nicely. The tone coming out of my amp is impressively close to the original Gibson, and the sustain is awesome. I've had it a couple weeks and I still can't help picking it up every time I look at it. As others have said, the tonal possibilities are endless, and it's a joy just experimenting with all the different settings. I always wondered what Jimmy Page meant about the "resonance" that happens between the two necks. Now I know Exactly what he means. It's particularly notable when playing the twelve, with both necks active, but you can also hear it when playing without electricity. This effect changes dramatically when you change pickup settings. That's just one more aspect of this incredibly versatile and intriguing instrument. I want to hang this on the wall, but I'm reluctant to use two standard hangers because of the weight. I'm planning to build a mount that spans two wall joists just for this guitar. I also still have to buy a case, which are surprisingly elusive.

Sounds great, looks great, plays great, solid piece of work. I'm a proud owner. Thought and look at it for several days before ordering. Glad I finally made the decision to purchase this fine beautiful axe. It is somewhat heavy and a little awkward and takes a little getting use to but well playable with some practice.

Musical Background:

35+ years. played professionally for many years but now mainly write with a taste for certain guitars.

Almost bought a gibson when I was younger and always wanted a double neck. This guitar is awesome, I cant put it down. Of course for me I had to tweak the action and change the strings to my favorites. Did both the nuts and truss rods and lowered the action which left me with a solid player. If you're thinking of one of these, go for it! you wont regret it.

I'm very happy with this guitar. The construction and finish are beautiful. And most importantly it sounds great. Its a heavy little booger but its well worth getting used to the added weight. Its fun to play.

Musical Background:

I have played on and off since 15, been more serious last few years but only play at home.

Musical Style:

I enjoy rock, blues, country, and folk.

Get it. You know you want it. You know who you want to play like. This guitar lets you do that. And not just in shape or color... this is an extremely well made instrument that might just become your "number one". It plays that well. I've always had some issues with Epiphone pickups in the past, but not this time. This double neck sounds just like you know who! I won't be changing anything on this guitar except for the strings because I just can't put it down! I actually like to play it unplugged as much as plugged in because it just rings. Unplugged, the sound literally fills the room. Plugged in, well you know what to do... This is literally a dream-come-true guitar for an unbelievable price. Get it. Watch your friends' faces as they ask to look at it up close. It's a work of art. And it PLAYS. Tight action. No buzz. You're gonna have to practice winding that high G, but that's just learning... and you want to learn, right? You won't be able to put it down, trust me.

I recently realized that Cream invented all of the music I like. So is Cream a "style?"

I've been a lurker here on zZounds long enough. Time to write. I bought the Epiphone 1275 when it was listed as "last one". True enough. Gotta strike when the iron is hot. It takes a lot of patience to get a 1275 by Epiphone, but it's worth the wait. First of all, forget the whole "it's not a Gibson" thing... if you want to get a custom-made 1275 with the open book look then be my guest. I would love to play your imaginary guitar. This Epiphone however, performs the task and delivers tones in spades. One can lose a weekend just switching between pickups and necks and volumes and tones (I did).If you want to sound like Jimmy Page this guitar WILL help you get there. I'm talking TSRTS Stairway tones. Yep. This guitar can do that. There's nothing left but your fingers. Get it. You know you want it. This thing delivers.
