"Best of the bunch"
I have owned LOTS of Epiphones over they years including the 2020 and 2024 1959s. This one beats them all. If you had the previous 2020 model, the neck on this is different, maybe a little slimmer but in a good way. The gold is deep and pops against the natural back. This one is as enjoyable to play as a 50 Standard I used to own and is on par quality wise, The frets were rounded and well polished. Pretty much everything you have seen on the internet about quality, fit and finish is true. Not sure how I lucked out but mine was 8 lbs 15.8 oz...call it 9 lbs even. I know these can run heavier but "lighter" ones are out there. If you're on the fence, jump off and grab one.

This arrived today and required no additional setup other than light tuning. Action was even spot on which almost never happens. This thing sounds absolutely positively amazing. I couldn’t be happier. I say that as someone that has had multiple Epiphones arrive in unacceptable condition. This one is a home run. It’s heavy but it’s a reissue. It looks and feels a lot like the originals and I dig the chunkier neck a lot more than I expected. Love it. Nothing more to say other than it arrived a day earlier than promised too.
