I was very skeptical. A 1299.00 Epiphone, but I went ahead and bit the bullet. All I can say is WOW! These are amazing guitars. I also own a Gibson Custom Shop R8 and when i say that this guitar is 95% there at a fraction of the cost, I mean it!

Well, 1st off I ordered the cherry burst and they sent Ice Tea burst. I called and explained the issue to zZounds. They pretty much dismissed the problem saying it is washed cherry. It is not.As far as the guitar. 1200 bucks you would think frets and hardware would not need adjustments.I guess its an Epiphone thing. You will have to get a set up with a fret dressing.Feels like guitar is around 8 lbs. Amazing for a solid wood body. The neck is amazing. It just feels right. Thin but flatter than on thr 60's model. Works for me.Sound is perfect. Low output on the p/u. You can get great sounds using the volume and tone knobs. I don't think this guitar was made for metal, but you can get there if you want. I really dig the guitar just pissed zZ won't acknowledge they sent the wrong color.

I ordered a standard faded 60s bourbon burst and received it just to find disappointment. The top was nicely figured and the finish was beautifully executed, but it had some tool marks I could not get past. It had a 1 1/4”to 1 1/2” line or gouge in the top that you could tell was there before the finish was applied. The binding around the cut out had what looked like gaps in it that was poorly filled with wood filler or something. The binding around the neck had bad scraping marks and chatter on one side. It was sad because it was a beautiful top. Their quality control is just horrible, but zZounds was awesome with returning it. No problems at all. They stand behind everything they sell with no hassle whatsoever. That is why I have zero worries when ordering from them. they 100% make it right
