The Engl Fireball IR is a preamp pedal that blows away anything else on the market. It has great settings now but can be changed on a computer on the software site included in your purchase. It is made to run pre amp. I have Duncan invaders which are the hottest pickup upgrade I've found without batteries. This pedal even has a noise gate. I run a boss nose gate and a hum bug in the effects loop and some other pedals with low or no noise. I hate noise. This pedal is wild and quiet. It's new and I was in the first orders to be filled when they got them in. This pedal out performs almost all my $300 or more stand alone distortion pedals and is going to prove one of the top pedals of the year. With all the ways to customize this pedal it will quickly be my favorite.

Amazing! Ive had a couple hrs and it is all it's promised ! The cleans through the pre amp are great and by itself into a clean signal it packs a punch. Mixed with my amp gain you can dial in as much saturation as you want and having a built in noise gate that doesn't cut the signal bad at all. Nice to have 2 channels and a bypass . I love this pedal already .

This thing is fricking amazing (and so is zZounds)! I just got it yesterday and have run it through it's paces. I plugged it into the return of my Mesa Single Rec and I cannot believe how brutal it sounds. I decided to try plugging it in direct to a powered FRFR PA speaker and used the built in IR's. They sound OK but when I uploaded (with the easy to use Engl software) two of my go-to IR's, it was simply nirvana! It sounds as good as using the power section of the Mesa into a real cab. I LOVE THIS PEDAL! Simply amazing work, Engl. I am super impressed.

I waited 7 weeks for this pedal. It is going to be the hottest pedal to find real quickly. No 9 volt battery compartment but it will respond to jumper wire 9 volt input or pedalboard on board power. To practice quietly you can use a cord battery jumper and headphones without dragging out an amp. And you can input your own sounds from online and usb port. This does have gain and presence and can be the end of a small chain to practice. It even has a noise gate. I hate noise and this is quite. It fits on any pedal board. This pedal will be so hot you won't be able to find it soon. And that usually means price hike when they release more. So buy it now. You won't be sorry.
