This was my first large battery powered Bluetooth speaker. I’ve always have been a big Bose fan. they have are very clean and full sound, you can still get good quality sound that has synergy coverage though out the volume levels. Now this depends on what music is playing also. Bose is a great choice for the general public. The EVERSE 12 after the unboxing and updating. I only bought this speaker for streaming music. Unfortunately I’m a virgin when it comes to trying to play instruments and singing anymore. It can be learned but I’ll leave that to the professionals to play and sing lol. Back to the EVERSE 12 only with the factory set levels and tuning. This speaker is super loud and very clean but after some practice and some tuning this speaker will surpass Bose until they compare their pro line. This sophisticated speaker(everse has a great selection and many options to make it sound even better. I listen to a broad spectrum of music gospel through Death metal. The speaker has no problem with keeping up and being able to sing and listen to the various beats with clarity. Time of use of the everse 5 hrs straight and I got complaint to keep the volume down which was @ 1/4 volume. So overall thoughts- crystal clear sound, super loud, very over kill for just streaming but I love clean, loud sound why spend money on something that is garbage with ungodly amount of distortion when you can get a pro level quality and sound for a few hundred more. Everse speaker can play any genre and sound awesome at high volume for 12+hrs. Im going to eventually get a rain cover and spare battery. Something to protect against all elements and keep it in optimal running condition. I thank all the You Tube members who work in the music industry for doing live comparison and going over their stats between speakers manufacturers

While I haven’t used them at a gig yet, I can tell you these babies hold their own quite well. I refuse to buy garbage consumer bluetooth speakers that somehow 2x-3x their price since 2019-2020. For a little more $ you get a truly professional product that is insane. EV did wonderful in their app, runs on phone and iPad without any issues. The PEQ is what did it for me, and being able to send a custom line out (dedicated sub for example) is a dream. In comparison the jbl app is a nightmare, but EV app “just works” and the customization alone is what I like the most. Here is a big thing you may not know: after you have customized the speakers through the app (I have 2 connected in stereo which I highly recommend)You no longer need the app to be able to reconnect them into stereo or load settings. Not even Bose lets you do that, they make you stay “stuck” to their apps, having to reconnect, find and search for speakers, and then redo it all over again… as much as I do appreciate Bose and have my original S1 pros which I do love and use to this day. But the EVs stay in stereo and you can move them around, connect to computer, and they stay synced, no resetting and no app every time you wanna listen to music. Love it Wired is better than Bluetooth I agree. But for me, these are meant for casual listening and will see their first house party next month. A friend borrowed them once and I’ll be lucky if I ever get them back. Why the 12s? I sampled both the 8 everse and 12. 8s are too close to the S1 in my opinion, and I’m not going to be using 8 inch speakers for tops anytime soon. 12s are 2 times louder with a meter, despite what you read online. A test drive will tell you more than a brochure ever will.
