I think it sounds better then a ts808 great boost for bluesy leads. Just buy it you will love it once you get it dialed in.

EHX makes great stuff across the board and the ERD is no exception. This is a very versatile low to mid gain OD pedal. It's somewhat of a tube screamer clone but it has its own personality. Pair it with a Klon style like the Soul Food for a little bit more grit, or stack it in front of a higher gain pedal or overdriven amp and it sings. It pairs nicely with single coil guitars. Plug in your Strat on the neck pickup and jam away,

Ok, I'm comparing this review to owning several TS9's and a one OD9 over the past 30 years. And also a FD1. Personally, I prefer the East River. To me, it has more grit and bite but, still retains the TS feel and sound and bass cut I need for my tube amps.Just my opinion
