I've had the big Ernie Ball VP for years however I recently decided to downsize my board and decided to try the smaller DVP4 to save space. Wow, this thing is TINY! The size difference does take some getting used to.One important thing to mention, the Aux out can NOT be used as an always on tuner out. Its function is solely to be used if you're going to hook it up as an expression pedal instead of a volume pedal.Unfortunately the sweep isn't as smooth as the Ernie Ball. Starting from the heal down position (volume at 0) the first 15-20% of the sweep doesn't do anything. Then all the sudden the volume comes like you just flipped a toggle switch. So volume swells aren't the smoothest thing since the sound all the sudden hits when you're almost at 1/3 volume. But it's usable once you get used to that nuance.Overall I'm satisfied with it for now however I may explore other mini volume pedal offerings in the near future to see if they have a smoother more consistent sweep.
