Time to get heavy! This Dean V Select 7 does the heavy lifting with Seymour Duncan pickups and 250k audio taper pots for smooth roll without destroying tone.

I have a love/ hate relationship with Dean. Their quality has been all over the place the last few decades. I have a Gibson V I absolutely love but mainly write and record 7 string. Wanting a 7 string equivalent to my gibson, I came across this. I placed my order with no small amount of trepidation. The Dean has exceeded my expectations in every way. Excellent fit and finish, fantastic playability, and top notch materials really make this axe shine. Get it while they still make.
Sound
The Seymour Duncan pickups cover everything from metal to jazz. It's a very easy guitar to get dialed in.

The back of the neck has a satin finish giving it a smooth feel. It also has an asymmetrical profile helping keep your hand in a natural playing position. The controls are set up the way i like with two volume and a tone with a the way switch.

This guitar compares favorably with guitars costing two or three times a much.

The Wow Factor
As soon as you pull it out, it gets attention. This v is an undeniably good looking guitar. In the world of 7 strings, it's basically a unicorn. It rides a fine line between classic and modern and excels at both.
