i got a ibgcs epiphone les paul 59 reissue and allthough the custombuckers that come in it cost 500dls, they werent that great imo. Bought the dimarzio paf 59 set based on a 36th paf i have in my gibson lp. People hear things differently so opinions vary. my opinion on these pups are that walk all over the gibson pups. more mids more bass and smoother treble. Just BETTER PICKUPS!!!

These have that thick, woody open tone you would get from a old Les Paul, I put these in a Tele I build, I will be putting a set in my Les Paul as well
