Ordered, and hoped it would be awesome since I haven't had much luck with pedals producing a thick amp overdrive for metal. This preamp does thicc all day and night. Bassy and tight. Responsive low end, great for speed picking and palm muting.Really hard to make it sound bad. All controls are responsive, but sounds great pretty much any way you have it. Great for playing live, and if you're drunk and accidentally kick or stomp it, no biggie, you still sound good.Takes additional overdrives (boost) very well, just like a good amp should. This preamp is pretty much an amp in a pedal. That's how I see it anyways.I have this on my board, with a boost (overdrive) into a Seymour Duncan powerstage 700, into a Mesa 4x12.The blue LED is super bright.

I use mine for metal and blues. I hated it at first but once you get your sound dialed in its a beast! I suggest really sitting down with it and taking time to dial it in... youll be happy you did.

I love the tone this pedal produces. Very easy to get setup quick. I am running this as the pre-amp on my Peavy 6505. I did have a few questions and emailed Diezel’s support with no answer. Sad to have bad customer service for such a good product.
