"Skip The Boss!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
Sounds great with full CD quality wav recording and playback.
Features
Once again DigiTech lays out better control features with plenty of onboard knobs, plus additional expression and footswitch options that are simpler and less expensive than what Roland offers.
Ease of Use
had it rolling in my rig in ten minutes and was ready to take it out gigging the same night.
Quality
Casing seems a bit light for it's size but everything's built that way these days.
Value
I played the Boss RC-20XL for a month. Add in the cost of 3 extra footswitches and a couple of cables then subtract the sound quality sacrificed by Boss' reliance on mp3 recording and the DigiTech immediately becomes the better value, and it plays great and easy too!
Manufacturer Support
Never had a problem with DigiTech and have been playing their delays and processors since 1989.

"The JamMan Delay"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I expect to have the product a long time and I doubt that I will wear it out. If it were lost or stolen I would replace it with the same thing. I don't have any musical goals except to be a better guitar player than what I am at present. I have been playing for many many years so I'm not one that runs out and buys everything that comes down the road. I knew what this product was when I bought it and there isn't anything I like more or less about what this product does or how it functions.
Sound
The sound of the Jam Man Delay is great. I have it ran through a Fender Cyber Twin. I would advise though that you turn the knobs all the way off and bring the volume up slowly because this thing will blow you out of the water.
Features
The features of this product are all very useful in my opinion. For the type of music I play, it does what I need it to do.
Ease of Use
The JMD is very easy to use. It does include an owners manual and you do need to read it if you want to get the most out of this product. It is easy to use with my other equipment and the learning curve is minimal. With the JMD you can be looping in five minutes or less if you have any ability at all.
Quality
On the JMD that I received, all the parts are perfect with no blemishes whatsoever. The case is made of sturdy metal and it doesn't look like it would break easily unless you dropped it heavily or threw it around. I'm not a pro musician, I just play at home so I don't take it on the road but I believe this is a product that could be used in a gigging situation with no problems at all.
Value
I believe this product is well worth what I paid for it and if something did happen to it, I would purchase another one.
Manufacturer Support
I've never had to use Support for this product.
The Wow Factor
As this is a piece of metal, I wouldn't say it has any sex appeal at all. It is an attractive blue color and I wouldn't say any one would lust after this product either. It is what it is.....an addition to the equipment I already own.

"Excellent Accessory"

I like to lay down the rhythms to the songs we're doing and then practice licks over them when getting ready for a live performance. I have a 20 second looping function in my Fender G-DEC amp, but it's never long enough and it's hard to synchronize with and to get the loop to start and stop without gaps in the recording. I bought the Jam Man Looper with Delay hoping to address these problems, and I couldn't be happier. I bought this unit rather than others because it had a long recording time PLUS an SD Card output for nearly indefinite recording time. It automatically syncs the beginning and end points of the loop so there are no gaps and it's quick and easy to lay down a loop. You can synch up the delay with the loop rhythm which makes it easy to sound in time as you play. The thing that bugs me about this pedal is that you'll lay down a loop and it's faster than you just recorded. You therefore have to lay down the loop just a hair slower than you normally would play the licks at and then you'll get it right. The delay section works in harmony with the looper and it's VERY capable. In fact, it's more capable than the delay functions I have on my multi-pedal, so It's going to take me a while to really dial in the exact delays that I want. That's my personal learning curve and not a problem with the unit. Now, do you buy this one or the one without the delay? If you've got a well-dialed in and tweaked delay setup already, you can buy the Jam Man without the delay and have all the features of the looper that's in this unit, but for the best sound, you're going to have to synch up your delay and your looper manually. That may or may not be a big issue for you. If you don't really have a great delay setup, get this Jam Man Looper and Delay and you've got two pedals in one. Overall, very pleased with this unit. VERY capable and does what it's supposed to do.

DigiTech JamMan Delay Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I will use this until it breaks - if it breaks. Makes for hours of jamming fun. Have to learn to be a better composer because those cheesy licks i always play only last a few minutes on this thing. Really stretches your musical thinking when trying to assemble a loop track in terms of a rhythm course and a lead.
Sound
Doesn't color tone. Running straight into my homemade 18w marshall clone sounds great. The delay sounds are over the top but you can tone them down...
Features
I don't think i would pay extra for the delay but I got it on sale for same price as non-delay model. As for a looper it does everything expected and more. Simple operation - lots of storage. Quickly build monster loops as large as you can dream up. Put some pedals in front of it so you can get several different tones going into your loops. Easy and fun.
Ease of Use
Took about 5 minutes to figure out how to create basic loops and delay sounds. I have a feeling it will take months before I learn all of the ways to use this powerful pedal.
Quality
Nice steel case. Good switches - I cant imagine having an issue with it.
Value
Got it on sale was one of the best priced loopers out there. Great deal.
Manufacturer Support
Never dealt with digitech tech support before.
The Wow Factor
Love It.
