The Denon MC4000 is a great entry level controller and I use the term "entry level" only because of the price. This thing replaced a Mixtrack Platinum I returned due to it not being natively supported by Djay Pro software. It is robust in build, has a great intuitive layout, great sound and it works with any DJ sofware. Seráto check, Djay Pro check, Virtual DJ check, Mixx check. This thing is made like a tank with an aluminum chassis. Has great sound with dual microphone inputs and dual headphone jacks as well as an independent aux in with booth out controls. Great controller. Great for the pro DJ who needs a smaller portable controller or the beginner DJ who wants a quality controller and not a toy.

My only complaint is it is smaller than I expected. It performs as well if not better than much more expensive controllers!

I want to start by saying that if you are looking for a quality affordable controller for your Virtual DJ program DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE GEMINI G4 ! don't get me wrong the G4 has served me well HOWEVER just comparing the two, the DENON MC-4000 has by far a better sound quality with it's sound cards, and the microphone sound is SUPERIOR to the sound you get when you connect to the Gemini G4 plus the talk over feature and the echo with the DENON is a GREAT advantage, also the jug wheels on the DENON feel better than on the GEMINI even though they are smaller, also it comes with a 50% discount to buy SERATO and I have to say even though I use Virtual DJ I will be buying the SERATO so I can try it at a discounted price. Over all I am very happy with the DENON MC 4000and this is only based on my first use so trust me if you are looking for that good Controller for VDJ THIS IS IT !!!

Had an entry level Numark wear out and needed a replacement. Don't DJ as much as I Host karaoke but needed something for occasional gigs. Went with Denon because of price and reputation. Didn't expect so much from the lower end of the line! Works great with Virtual DJ8! Solidly built but it is small size. Best bang for the buck!
