Analog purists: here's your polysynth. The Potentiometer Edition Prophet '08 rocks a 100% analog signal path with fat Curtis filters and myriad modulators.

"Great brass and string type sounds"

This was my first 'modern' analog synth purchase. It can produce a fairly wide array of sounds. But it seems to do brass and string sounds the best. It might be my fault, as I haven't had it long and might be doing something wrong, but it kinda phones in the bass. But with EQ and compression the bass sounds great. I'm loving it for Oberheim type sounds. The filter is very pleasing to the ears. This is how good it sounds: I was working on a sound and it just wasn't fat/wide enough. So I thought I'll add a bit more chorus. All of my effects units were in bypass! I could have sworn I had everything on...
