Having owned various 12-string guitars, (Yamaha acoustic, Danelectro and Rickenbacker electrics), I was a bit skeptical of this axe considering the price on the one hand and the D'Angelico flag on the other. I must say that I'm very pleasantly surprised. The workmanship is superior, and the sound is magnificent. Great sustain, tremendous, bright "ring" and even tone from bass through midrange up to treble. It's a joy to play: the smaller body is easy to carry and hold, while sacrificing none of the presence you'd expect from a larger body. The Fishman preamp/tuner works great, but it sounds excellent "unplugged" as well.
